Michal Škapa - Světlonoš

  • Installation

    Prague, 2020

On the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the Prague Market Hall, together with Michal Škapa we created a new large neon object consisting of 150 neon tubes. We were inspired by the sculptures at the entrance of the Prague Market. The drawing of the bull and its human guide is variable. It animates by gradually turning on and off. The bull symbolizes strength and unbridled passion. The human figure represents a kind of light-bearer with whom you can easily venture into unexplored territories and boldly step out into the unknown future - just like the Prague Market Hall, which is experiencing its new era right now.
